Studies show that exposure to red light causes the adipocytes to release triglycerides, resulting in reduced volume and a measurable loss of fat. Participants in this 4-week study experienced a 2.15 inches loss in waist girth. Not only can this therapy help reduce the size of fat cells, thus helping to shape body contour, but it also provides additional benefits for patients working to lose weight.

Research shows that exposure to red light significantly increased leptin levels while decreasing ghrelin. Leptin is a hormone responsible for controlling appetite, helping to maintain body weight, and regulating how much energy the body burns. Red Light Sculpting FAQs

What should I expect during my red light fat sculpting session?
During the session, most of our patients will be wearing a robe that we provide in order for the red light pads to have direct contact with the skin. You will be lying down during the session, which will last between 20-30 minutes. After each session, we will help rid of the fat cells through lymphatic drainage, which will last approximately 20 minutes.

How does the red light sculpting work?

After the fat has been released from the cell, the fat enters the bloodstream. The body will either use it as fuel or eliminate it. This is why we perform lymphatic drainage after each session and highly recommend exercising after your session. The red lights cause the fat cell membranes to temporarily alter the permeability of the cell wall. This change allows some of the fat to be released from the cell.

What happens to the fat?

Once the fat is released, it can then be processed by the body.

Is there a special diet I need to follow?
Yes. No alcoholic beverages or starchy carbohydrates 3 hours before your session and for 36 hours after the session. We will provide you with a recommended list of foods that are best to eat during that time.

Will the fat released come back?

No. Once released the fat does not come back unless you overeat. When you eat 3500 calories, you will gain 1 pound.

Use red light for your abdomen, arms, hips, and thighs for 20 minutes several times a week until you’ve achieved the desired results. What are the risks or side effects?

Generally, to address deeper tissues and/or skin issues, red light is the best option. In fact, for most purposes, a large LED panel with a mix of 660nm and 850nm is the best choice, as it will address a large area of the body at once.
